Understand, analyze and develop the reporting needs for SMO (Swiss Medtronic Operations), align them with IT Make and deliver a reporting strategy and plan for this organization. 

Pull information/data/metrics from the manufacturing/supply chain operations and each of group / department below, (including their harmonization efforts) to formulate key data needs and measurements required.  Leverage what is already available across IT Make, and produce specifications for what is not.  Subsequently, work with the respective development teams to deliver the required reports for the operations.

Main Responsibilities

Direct interaction with business users to identify about data analysis requests. Consult with business on data and analysis capabilities. Work with each of the key business and IT groups to collect data/information needed.

Work with IT and business management to establish requirements and service levels for new and existing technology and systems

Reviews and evaluates requests to develop or modify reports. Identifies data sources to fulfill report requests

Produce functional specification documentation and translate into technical specification using design business modeling tools (UML diagram, MS-Visio)

Develop solutions in SQL, PL/SQL and BusinessObjects tools to deliver specific reports on business and client performance

Responsible for standardizing reporting across variety of contexts

Demonstrate the ability to understand, share and leverage the databases content and datawarehouse structure (multi-dimensional model)

Assist with the development/enhancement of the data warehouse architecture (ETL, ODS, Data Marts, Cubes, Reports, BI Portal, Dashboards) to support analysis

Provide support for the data warehouse environment and determine root cause/corrective action on issues related to reports, ETL, and data requests

Work with the infrastructure team to set direction of the technical platform

Contribute and participate to a safety work environment, report any EHS risks and events (injuries, illness and accidents). Understand and enforce all Health and Safety policies, procedures and regulations

Participate or lead projects in a broader scope.

Apply best practices to drive projects in Quality, Cost and delay.

When needed, participate in the on call support, covering 24h, 7d a week.

5 years of progressive experience in data modeling disciplines

BSc or MSc in Information Management, Computer Sciences, or equivalent

Proven experience working with BI and development tools such as BO, Crystal Reports, PL/SQL and TOAD - Strong experience in conduction of UAT and documentation of test cases.

Good understanding of Manufacturing and Supply Chain processes and environment

Strong English written and verbal communication skills

Knowledge of Manufacturing Execution Systems

ITIL Knowledge (Basic v3)

Ability to conduct data modeling design reviews with business and technical personnel to verify data model captures business functionality

Strong understanding of Data Management, Business Intelligence System Architecture and ETL technologies

Very good knowledge of OLAP models (Datawarehouse, cube, dashboard, datamart) and multi-dimensional design
